In August 2005, Drummond Kerr and partners establish Meridian Private Client LLP as a specialist practice for high net worth clients and move into an office in Solihull town centre with a team of five.

Following expansion, the team relocates from Solihull into the current premises on the Packington Estate near Junction 6 of the M42.

The practice is registered as an ABS with the Solicitors Regulation Authority to allow the appointment of non-solicitor partners.

In late 2023, the firm is incorporated as a limited company and is transferred into the ownership of an Employee Ownership Trust, securing the independence of the practice for the future.

STEP Trusted Advisor nomination

Lisa Whitehouse, Partner, is shortlisted for STEP’s prestigious Trusted Advisor of the Year award in June 2023 having been recognised by peers in industry. Sadly, Lisa, a well-loved and respected member of the firm, passed away in August 2023. In her memory, STEP Birmingham launched the Lisa Whitehouse Award to celebrate a private client professional who is dedicated, enthusiastic, highly supportive of peers and displays exceptional technical skills.
