Ian Smith
Ian joined Meridian in August 2023 as Practice Director to support the Partners and the firm in finance, administration and compliance matters.
He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1988 and, whilst practising as an accountant, looked after a portfolio of mainly London based solicitors. Ian has since held Senior Finance and Administration positions for SMEs in various sectors but mainly within the Regulated Professional Services sector.
Outside of work, Ian enjoys driving and maintaining a small collection of classic cars and riding motorbikes. Despite his advancing age, he continues to regularly play tennis, badminton and table tennis and enjoys walking and cycling – sometimes with refreshment stops.
